Swift was in New York specifically to attend the 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards ceremony on Thursday, where she was being formally inducted. She previously won the Hal David Spotlight Award from the same organization in 2010.
She went to the NBA Finals the night before her own Hall of Fame induction wearing a pun shirt with her friends. That scheduling choice says more about her current relationship with her own legend than any acceptance speech would.
